Comments:

A tough month for Cromwell, after taking on some promising players, they posted and started to interact well, then dropped off the face of the planet! Disappointing, but we have had some more new faces come aboard. I have high praise for all the crew and they are working very well together, I have certainly enjoyed Angela’s and Todd’s input into the simm, they are very good additions to the crew.

Its been a challenge since becoming CO, but I have enjoyed it so far. Engie is on ELOA which I understand and fully support. Not having a fully active XO has been difficult though and I hope she will return shortly.

I am thankful for a good crew and they are on their own keeping the ship afloat, I am tending to write mostly on my weekends. Personally I have not been really with it for the last couple of months due to a health issue that will unfortunately be hanging around for awhile yet, but I plan to continue as its good therapy.

Plot:

Cromwell is still out looking for a missing freighter, this last month has seen us grinding out the kinks in the ship and dome great character interaction. Cromwell recently detected a transwarp trail and went to investigate. Thanks to our new sensors array we picked up a Borg long range tactical Sphere (864), it also detected us and made a bee line for the Cromwell.

Cromwell deployed its fighter wing (24 Valkyrie class fighters) and engaged the Borg after messaging DFA Headquarters. The Borg unleashed a powerful blast dropping our port shield and they boarded. One of our crew who unbeknownst to us has dealt with the Borg closely is infact infected with nanites ad they came for her, sending boarding parties to Sickbay and Engineering. Marines and Security personnel took care of this threat quickly with minimal casualties by utilising ballistic weapons.

The Borg attempted to gain access our database and with some quick thinking our Chief Engineer gave them a nasty little virus which upset the Borg apple cart only briefly, but giving our Tactical station under the control of the XO a window of opportunity to fire a spread of Tricobalt torpedoes at the Sphere causing catastrophic damage.

With the threat gone or so we thought, sensors have detect 2 more Sphere in transit. Damaged and not quick able to achieve full speed the Cromwell is making leaving the area post haste.

Post count: (very pleased!)

June: 141

May: 137

April: 123

Cheers,
